October Long Weekend 2018

Monday 1st October 2018 is the October Long Weekend and Meals on Wheels will not be delivered on this day. If you require any extra meals for this long weekend we can arrange to deliver frozen meals to you with your meal on Friday 28th September or on another day if that suits you better. If you already receive frozen meals for the weekends we will send you an extra meal for the Monday Holiday.    

Please ring us on 6722 1951 by Monday 24th September if you require any extra meals.

Frozen meals should be kept in the freezer compartment of your refrigerator but can be transferred to the refrigerator 24 hours before you need to heat them – the meals heat more quickly and evenly if thawed first. Once thawed the meal must be heated and eaten within 24 hours or disposed of. Meals should not be thawed on the bench.  

If you require any changes to your service please give us a call, then we can speak with you directly and thus avoid any confusion. We can also discuss alternate ways of providing your service. If you know you are going to be away on a certain day and still wish to receive a meal we can always send you a frozen meal on the day prior.

Remember to let us know if your dietary requirements have changed (eg: diabetes).
